About Homekind
Located south of Highway 111 between Cook Street and Deep Canyon Road, the residence sits within an established neighborhood with convenient access to healthcare providers, community services, and major roadways. The location supports easy family visitation and includes on-site parking to accommodate visitors in an orderly and respectful manner.
Homekind is the senior living and care organization presenting this project and the intended operator of the proposed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly.
The Homekind model is built on a Families First philosophy. Choosing care for a parent or loved one is deeply personal, and our role is to support families through that transition with compassion, clarity, and professional guidance. Residents receive attentive, dignified care in a home-like environment designed to feel familiar, comfortable, and safe.

By intentionally keeping our homes small, we are able to maintain higher caregiver presence, more personal relationships, and flexible, resident-centered daily routines.
Based in Southern California, Homekind serves families across San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Palm Desert. While our brand is focused specifically on senior care, we are backed by an established platform with more than 40 years of experience in development, operations, and community-based initiatives.
Our goal is simple. Provide exceptional care while operating in a way that respects and complements the surrounding community.

Our Commitment to Palm Desert
Our approach in Palm Desert reflects a thoughtful, long-term vision. This project is led by Rafael Carrillo, the primary investor, whose relationship with Palm Desert spans decades. Having spent winters in the Coachella Valley since childhood, the area has long been part of his family’s life. Today, as his father reaches the stage where supportive care becomes more relevant, the mission has taken on personal significance.
That perspective shapes our philosophy. We believe senior living should feel like a home where relationships are real, care is ever-present, and the environment is uplifting rather than institutional.
Palm Desert’s strong senior population further underscores the need for smaller, well-operated care homes that allow residents to remain close to their families and familiar surroundings.
We are beginning with the Fairway property as our first Palm Desert location, with the goal of establishing a small cluster of up to five residential-scale care homes throughout the area over time. This phased approach allows us to build relationships locally, refine operations within the community context, and earn trust through performance and transparency.
Each home will reflect the same standards of quality care, professional management, and neighborhood compatibility.

Professional Operations & Neighborhood Compatibility
We understand the importance of operating responsibly within an established neighborhood setting. Our homes will be professionally managed, well maintained, and fully compliant with state licensing and local regulatory requirements. Staffing is structured, supervision is continuous, and operational protocols are designed to ensure safety, cleanliness, and order.
Our intention is to provide an essential care service while maintaining compatibility with the surrounding community.
